Adam Mokrysz with a “Platinum Laurel of Skills and Competences”

During the Gala of the 28th Laurels of Skills and Competences, which was held, as usual, in the House of Music and Dance in Zabrze, the names of the people and institutions awarded with these prestigious distinctions were announced. The “Platinum Laurel of Skills and Competences” was received by Adam Mokrysz, the CEO of the Mokate Group.

The event was organised by the Regional Chamber of Commerce in Katowice, which has been distinguishing and honouring outstanding personalities from the world of science, business, culture and politics for their exceptional public activities, awarding them with Laurels of Skills and Competences, since 1992. Tomasz Zjawiony, President of the Regional Chamber of Commerce in Katowice, said: “During these 28 years, we have distinguished more than two thousand people and institutions. This scale shows that there are still many extraordinary characters who drive change not only in our country.”

One of the distinctions, the “Platinum Laurel of Skills and Competences”, was awarded to Adam Mokrysz, the CEO of the Mokate Group, in the category “PRESENCE ON THE GLOBAL MARKET”. It is worth mentioning that back in 2012, the Laurel of Skills and Competences was awarded to Teresa Mokrysz, the founder of Mokate.

During this year’s edition, a special distinction was awarded to Georgette Mosbacher, the ambassador of the United States in Poland, who was honoured with the Crystal Laurel of Skills and Competences. The most important award – the Diamond Laurel – was received by professor Franciszek Kokot from the Clinic of Nephrology at the Medical University of Silesia.

Adam Mokrysz as the “Family Ambassador of 2019”

During the Family Companies’ Congress of Forbes Poland, Adam Mokrysz, CEO of Mokate, was awarded the title of “Family Ambassador of 2019”.

Succession, international expansion, transfer of power to managers. How to do it in a family company? This topic was discussed by the participants of the 1st Family Companies’ Congress of “Forbes”, which was held on 9 December in Warsaw.

The Congress ended with a gala of prestigious awards. One of them – the title of “Family Ambassador of 2019” was received by the CEO of the Mokate Group – Adam Mokrysz.

Industry leaders distinguished in the 9th edition of the Symbol programme

The most successful representatives of Polish businesses, enterprises, institutions and universities were distinguished during the official Final Gala of the Symbol 2019 programme, which was held on 22 November in unique, historic rooms of the Monopol hotel in Katowice. Mokate was distinguished with the title “Polish Quality Symbol 2019”. The award was received by the CEO of the Mokate Group – Adam Mokrysz, PhD.

The Gala was led by a TVP journalist Marek Durmała, who opened it, welcoming entrepreneurs and scientists as well as representatives of business, media and culture. He did not omit to mention the Jury members, whose expert knowledge and experience helped to select such an elitist and symbolic group of laureates. The jury of the Symbol programme was comprised of: President of TUV Nord Polska Henryk Warkocz; Katarzyna Bilińska, PhD, professor of the University of Economics in Katowice; Mateusz Grzesiak, PhD; Jan Rzymełka, PhD; Joanna Drzazga-Lisiecka and Jakub Lisiecki.

During the presentation “How to build company image based on the leader’s personal brand”, the journalist, Jarosław Kuźniar, who is known from the radio, press, TV and recently more and more from the Internet, said that caring for your image and the skilful promotion of your achievements is very important in the context of the development of your own business.

“This is why we created the Symbol programme. Today, we bring together companies, enterprises, universities and institutions characterised by the development of modern technologies, premium quality, innovation, effective management, business support and synergy between science and business. For these factors are the most important”, noted Jakub Lisiecki, Editor-in-Chief of the “Business Monitor” in Rzeczpospolita daily and the “Market Monitor” in Gazeta Prawna daily, during his speech at the gala.

As part of this year’s edition, the jury distinguished more than 60 entities from various industries, the majority of which were enterprises, and about one-third – scientists. Laureates receiving their awards often emphasised that it was effective management, innovation, development and synergy between science and business that motivated them to work hard.

The evening ended with a delightful concert by Magda Steczkowska, Polish pop singer, songwriter and session musician. Her latest album, SERIALOVE, comprises of her unusual interpretations of some iconic songs. During the Gala, the guests also had the opportunity to enjoy a photo exhibition by Marcin Skorupski. This artist from Bielsko-Biała has been documenting the beauty of the world with his photo camera for 15 years now.
